Barbequed Pork Spareribs

Dad discovered this recipe in the 1970’s and it’s been a firm family favorite ever since!

Barbequed Pork Spareribs

Allow 1 lb. per person.  Cut each rib into pieces and arrange in a shallow roasting pan.  Sprinkle with salt and pepper and place in a preheated 350 degree oven.  Bake for one hour, and while they are baking, baste every ten minutes or so with the barbeque sauce:

1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. celery seeds
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup Worcestershire
1 cup ketchup
2 cups water

Mix and bring to a boil over medium high heat; reduce to simmer and then use for baste.
